Meeteor Terms of Service

“Meeteor,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the Meeteor company that contracts with you based on where you are located (see Section 2).

“Host” means a person or organization that creates or manages events on Meeteor.

“Attendee,” “Buyer,” or “Consumer” means a person who discovers events, RSVPs, buys tickets or tables, or otherwise uses the Services as a guest or customer.

“User” means any Host, Attendee, sponsor, or other person accessing the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.

Meeteor operates in three primary markets. Depending on where you live or where payment is processed, you may contract with one of the following entities:

Payment processing for tickets and other purchases may be provided through Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave, or other processors we enable for your region. Processor terms may also apply to payment transactions.

Meeteor provides software tools for discovering, promoting, hosting, and managing events — including ticketing, RSVPs, tables and seating, competitions, sponsorships, messaging, and related features.

Except where we expressly say otherwise, Meeteor is a platform. Hosts create events and offer tickets or experiences; Attendees contract with Hosts for attendance. Meeteor is not the organizer of events listed by third-party Hosts and does not control venue safety, event quality, or Host compliance with local law.

We may offer optional paid products (for example host subscriptions, advertising, or sponsorship marketplace tools). Those products are described at checkout or in product-specific terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information. By using the Services, you also agree to that policy.

Hosts may receive Attendee information needed to run an event (such as name, email, or ticket details). Hosts must use that information lawfully and only for the event and related customer service.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and meet any higher age required for a specific event).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, or are used for fraud or abuse.

Hosts are solely responsible for their events, including descriptions, pricing, capacity, age limits, accessibility information, venue rules, and compliance with permits, licenses, tax, and consumer laws.

Hosts must honor valid tickets and clearly disclose refund rules before purchase.

Hosts must not list illegal, harmful, or misleading events, and must not use the Services to infringe others’ rights.

Prices, fees, taxes, and currency are shown at checkout. Platform or processing fees may apply and are disclosed before you pay.

When you complete a purchase, you authorize the applicable Meeteor entity and/or payment processor to charge your payment method.

Tickets and order confirmations may be delivered by email, in-app, or other channels we support. Keep your confirmation; it may be required for entry.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and by the Host’s stated policy for each event.

Unless required by law or expressly offered, purchases are often non-refundable. See https://meeteor.me/refund-policy for details.

If an event is canceled or materially changed, contact the Host and Meeteor Support. We will help where we can under these Terms and payment-provider rules.

You retain ownership of content you upload (such as event images, videos, or descriptions). You grant Meeteor a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, and promote that content as needed to operate and market the Services.

You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or creates legal risk.

You may not scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services; bypass fees or security controls; harvest personal data without permission; post malware; impersonate others; or use the Services for fraud, money laundering, or illegal activity.

Commercial reuse of Site content without our written permission is prohibited.

Attending events involves risks, including illness, injury, property damage, and dissatisfaction with event quality. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you assume those risks when you attend an event listed on Meeteor.

Meeteor does not guarantee that any event will take place as described or that any Host will perform as expected.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service, or that defects will be corrected.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEETEOR AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO MEETEOR FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100 (OR LOCAL CURRENCY EQUIVALENT).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.

You agree to defend and indemnify Meeteor and its affiliates against claims arising from your content, your events (if you are a Host), your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms apply while you use the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue a feature. Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Services. Where required, we will provide notice.

If you contract with MEETEOR INC. (United States), these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

If you contract with THSPIAN HOLDINGS (Nigeria), these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If you contract with MEETEOR INCORPORATION LIMITED (United Kingdom), these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Courts in the corresponding jurisdiction will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.

These Terms, plus policies referenced here (Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookies Policy), are the entire agreement between you and Meeteor about the Services.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
